Graham joined Non Destructive Testers Ltd in 1984, when it was still part of British Engine Insurance. In the early part of his career he worked in all industry sectors at numerous site locations and on parts tested within the East Midlands laboratory.

Graham was appointed laboratory manager in 1992 and promoted to Operations Director in 1995. As Operations Director, Graham was responsible for the day to day running of all of the business activities of the Company. He assumed the title of Managing Director in 2005, after the retirement of Tony Eyre.


Phil Morris Operations Director

Phil has worked as a manager in non destructive testing and associated fields for over 35 years.

In that time he has gained experience and qualifications in all industry sectors using all of the recognised ndt techniques. He has also worked as a QA Manager/supervisor in the foundry and Nuclear Engineering industries.

Phil was part of the original buy out team who purchased NDT [Midlands] Ltd, later to become NDT Services Ltd, from Royal Insurance in 1986. He left in 1996 to take up a career in sales with Agfa-Gevaert Ltd and subsequently GE Inspection Technologies Ltd, where he fulfilled the role of UK Regional Director. Phil rejoined NDT Services Ltd as Operations Director in September 2006.

After initially working for an accountancy practice Karl moved into industry 16 years ago. Since then he has gained experience in the wholesale, distribution and manufacturing sectors. Karl joined NDT Services Ltd in 2002 as Group Accounts Manager and is the financial controller for the group.

Ian has worked in the field of non destructive testing for over 30 years. During that time he has worked in all industry sectors utilizing all the main NDT methods and has gained extensive experience in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical industries within the United Kingdom, the Middle East and the Far East. For the last 20 years Ian has worked as a NDT Level 3 and Technical Manager. Ian joined NDT Services Limited as Technical Services Manager in January 2006.

Andy Ward has been involved in the NDT industry for 18 years mainly in UT immersion and penetrant testing. Having worked in the forging industry for 20 years at shop floor, supervisory and management level he brings knowledge and experience in a wide range of engineering fields. He joined NDT services in October of 2005.

August 2008 saw the return to NDT Services Ltd of Mark Woodhouse, as a level III, to supplement the Technical Support team.
Mark previously worked for NDT for a period of 6 years in the mid nineties, and during the intervening years he has acquired valuable knowledge and experience through a variety of technical and managerial roles within the aerospace manufacturing industry sector.
Marks appointment is in response to the increase demand for technical support and he reinforces an already proactive Technical Services team.


Tim Cresswell Power Services Division Manager

Tim has worked in the field of Non Destructive Testing for over 25 years. Qualified in Ultrasonic and Radiographic disciplines Tim worked initially as site contract supervisor before becoming Business Development Manager and finally Operations Director at his previous company CoMech Metrology.

During his time as Business Development Manager he was involved in successful specialist development projects with Monash University in Australia, Loughborough University and Railtrack PLC. After the acquisition of CoMech by NDT Services Ltd in May 2007, Tim's skills and experience were harnessed in the role of Project Manager, with responsibility to work with customers to develop new or specialised ndt techniques, for the mutual benefit of the customer and NDT Services Ltd. In early 2008, Tim was appointed as Manager of the newly created Power Services Division of NDT Services Ltd, which is focussed on providing personnel and services to the UK Power Generation industries.

June has spent over 25 years as an account manager, with the last 15 years specialising in the field of non destructive testing. She had worked in various roles including financial manager and overseas operations manager since joining Eurospection in 1987 and when that Company was acquired by NDT Services Ltd in April 2007 she remained in the NDT Services Ltd Cannock office heading up the team at that site. With the re organisation of some business units within NDT Services Ltd, June was officially appointed as European Services Division Manager in April 2008, with responsibilities to not only manage that function but also to liaise with our European clients in commercial and operational matters, and to identify recruit and place ndt technicians on long term contracts in Europe, and in some offshore locations.

December 2008 saw the return of Andy Nelson to NDT Services Ltd.
Andy has been appointed as a Manager of the European Inspection Services team, and as such he will work with June Lilly and the staff in the Cannock office to help develop the business and assist in both client and field personnel support.
Andy’s previous experience with NDT Services Ltd covered both practical experience and sales responsibilities. He has been involved with carrying out ndt inspections in laboratory, on site and offshore applications, before progressing into a technical sales function.


Peter Maiden Sales Manager

Pete as worked in ndt related industry since 1969. He studied for an ndt City Guilds and worked as ndt technician within the foundry industry rising to chief inspector controlling a department of 30 inspectors. Peter moved into the ndt service sector in 1979 working as sales engineer for Bix UK Ltd and responsible for all laboratory sales. During this time he gained sales experience in the Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Defense and transport industries plus overseas markets.

Peter moved to take the position of Sales Director with Quality Established Ltd (Quest) responsible for all of the companies ndt sales contracts and then for a number of years worked as a self employed sales consultant. He joined NDT Services in 1999 as manager of the company's man power supply division and was appointed as Sales Manager in 2006.

Joe has spent his entire working life in various positions within the destructive or non destructive testing fields. He started his first position in 1985 as a trainee machinist and rose to become laboratory manager in 1990. He then joined a destructive and non destructive testing facility which specialised in meeting the needs of the rail industry. Here he gained further technical and managerial experience. Joe joined NDT Services Ltd in September 1999, where he has fulfilled a number of senior roles for the Company, before assuming his current managerial position in December 2005.

Dave started his career in engineering as an apprentice mechanical fitter with the British Steel Corperation in sunny Sheffield. Part of the training involved spending several months in each maintenance department gaining experience in a wide area of the company's operations. On completion of his apprenticship Dave carried out duties as part of the maintenance team covering the company's two power stations and electric melting department at the River Don site.

During 1986 he moved into the Non Destructive Testing field and joined NDT (Midlands) Ltd later to become NDT Services Ltd in 1996.

His qualifications and experience cover most forms of ndt methods employed both in house and on site. While he is part of the Site Services managment team he still puts on his overalls and carries out inspections for various clients when required.

Ian joined the Radiographic Department of NDT Services in 1991. He worked as a Radiographer for 10 years before becoming Supervisor in 2001. He holds PCN, NAS 410 & ASNT Level 2 qualifications. He manages a well qualified and extremely flexible team who are used to fulfilling the technical and turn round demands of our many radiography customers.

In early 2009, Ian also gained EN4179, NAS 410 level III approval in Radiography.

Ian has over 20 years experience in the Metallurgy and Materials testing field. Over the years he has specialised in failure investigations, which has taken him into a variety of industry sectors including Aerospace, Rail, Automotive and Power generation. Some of the investigations that he has worked on have even made National News headlines.

He joined NDT Services in June 2004 to develop the Metallurgy Laboratory. The team that he has recruited are specialised in their own chosen fields. This gives the NDT Services Metallurgy Laboratory a depth of knowledge and experience that can tailor testing to clients' specific requirements, whatever they might be!

With over 20 years experience in a Quality Assurance role, Andy has an in depth knowledge of QA systems and UKAS requirements. As a former UKAS Head of a Calibration Laboratory, and many years managing a Materials Testing Company, he plays a key role in the day to day running of the materials Testing Division. Andy also uses his IT skills and acts as the Company IT specialist, leading our computer systems development and implementation.


Max Eyre Surface Inspection Manager

Max joined NDT Services in 1998 after serving four years with the Royal Signals in the British Army. After gaining level II status in both ndt surface inspection techniques, dye penetrant and magnetic particle inspection, he moved into a supervisory role, with responsibility for that function within the Company.

Max has had a wide range of surface inspection experience including "on aircraft" inspections, landing gear and the numerous parts that are tested prior to engine build. Now based at the Surface Inspection Facility at the Kegworth laboratory, his supervisory duties include providing quotations, liaison with customers regarding turn round times, issuing reports and release notes plus technique preparation.

Max gained EN4179, NAS 410 level III approvals in both Dye Penetrant and Magnetic Particle testing methods in early 2009.
